  • Cat Toys For Christmas?

I just realized that I didn't get my poor cat a toy for Christmas yet. Does anybody have any idea what I should get the little furball? He seems to like laser pointers, and pretty much anything that he can pounce on and push around the floor.

At this point, I think that he has one of almost every cat toy in existence, but I'm sure that somebody out there will have some ideas for me!

  • Does anybody still read this?

According to my view counter, it seems that nobody bothers to read my blog anymore. I partially blame myself for this, as my grandiose plans for teaching my cat to fly or play poker never quite worked out as planned. Oh well.

I'm thinking that this might be a good time to "retire" from blogging and just post occasional cat updates on my Facebook page instead. Besides, you all have Facebook accounts by now... right?

Anyway... If you're still an avid Pat the Cat reader, leave a message and let me know!

  • Where in the #$% is my owner?

Between my goofy new work schedule and weekend trips to Becky's place, it seems that Pat The Cat is getting a bit annoyed with my recent absences. I've noticed that he's been more vocal, and has been "yelling" at me when I come home from work around 8. He's also been pouncing on me when I go to bed, and claws at my chest until I give him some "quality" time. I'm glad that I don't have a high maintenance girlfriend... because I definitely have a high maintenance cat!

Speaking of girlfriends... Please remind me to take along my camera when I go to New Hampshire for "leaf peeping" with Becky next week. It's been FAR too long since I posted some pictures on this site!

Until next time, enjoy the New Hampshire pictures!

  • Getting to know you better...

As many of you know already, I've been dating a wonderful woman named Becky for the past few weeks. While I've become quite comfortable with having her around rather quickly, Pat The Cat has been a bit slow to becoming accustomed to my new girlfriend. And, since this is still HIS blog and not mine, I thought that I should tell the story from his point of view.

When Pat first met Becky on our second date, he didn't seem to want to have much to do with her. Unlike most of my house guests, Pat seemed to shy away from Becky when she got near him, and also spent a lot of time cowering under tables instead of being his usual social self. Worse yet, he kept jumping over Becky and onto my lap when we were sitting on the couch, doing his best to disrupt any chance I had at some "cuddle time" on that date. Bad kitty!

On her second visit to my place a couple of weeks later, Pat was a bit better behaved but was still behaving a bit unusual. He still didn't seem to want to sit with Becky, but at least he sat close by and waited for his turn to get some affection from his pet human. He also patiently sat at the foot of the bed and didn't cause any trouble when she decided to sleep over that night.... which is a bit unusual for him. Anyone who's slept over at my place knows that Patrick loves to pounce on people while they're sleeping, and the last thing I needed was our date to get interrupted by someone getting clawed in the face

Pat The Cat finally seems to have finally taken a liking to Becky this weekend, and has started following her around and sitting on her lap instead of my own for a change. I'd imagine that the cat treats that she's been feeding him have been helping out, but I'm hoping that Pat has come to the sudden realization that Becky a cool person to hang around with. It's about time my silly little furball figured that one out, since I've known it for awhile now!

Anyway, I hope that you enjoyed my little story. Now, feel free to pester me about questions about my new girlfriend in the comments section... like I could stop you from doing it anyway

  • Feeling better all the time...

I'm definitely in a better mood nowadays, since I'm almost finished with my physical therapy and my medical bills are finally getting paid. I'm also almost finished with my lengthy work week as well, so I finally have some time off to look forward to!

That's all I have to say for now... but I felt like I should post a quick update to let folks know that both Pat The Cat and myself are doing fine. Things are looking up!
